The Axtane News: Spring Update 2025

Spring Update (April 2025)

Hello Axtane Close residents! This is the exciting re-launch of our community newsletter, bringing you the latest updates on projects, events, and co-op living.

A Message from the Editor (Tracey, No 20)

I’m thrilled to introduce our new newsletter! Since moving to Axtane Close in April 2022, I’ve learned how vital our co-operative structure is. Without resident volunteers on the committee, we’d lose the advantage of managing our own estate. Any resident can be voted onto the committee and help keep Axtane Close the safe and lovely place we all enjoy.

We need your stories! Do you have good news, a neighbour’s good deed, local concerns about transport, or points of interest? Drop a note to me at No 20—photos welcome! Let’s make The Axtane News interesting and inclusive for everyone.

Project Showcase: Making Axtane Close Better

The committee has been busy making improvements!

New Car Park Lighting: Lights have been installed in the car park by the houses and single block, as well as the middle car park. This project is ongoing, with more lighting planned soon.

Corner Safety Planters: A huge thank you to Kim, Julie, and Jackie for installing planters on the corner of Axtane Close. This not only makes the area safer for pedestrians but also improves visibility for drivers by eliminating a “blind corner.”
